Western Nebraska Models and Photographers 3rd Annual Labor Day Weekend Photo Shoot September 4 – 7, 2009 North Platte, Nebraska
Directions to Check-in – Iron Horse Park
I-80 Exit 177 South (North Platte/McCook/US 83 South); make a left turn at the first stop light into the 20th Century Veterans’ Memorial/Iron Horse Park to parking area near yellow caboose. All photo shoots are free to members and guests and times stated are CDT.
Day 1 – Friday, September 4th
This shoot is for minors only, 13-18 years of age, parents/legal guardians must accompany their children on this photo shoot. For those of you unsure of North Platte’s landmarks, we will meet at Iron Horse Park at 4:30 p.m. and then proceed to downtown North Platte to the Neville Center for Performing Arts (the old Fox theater) for a 5 – 8 p.m. photo shoot. Clothing: casual to formal, 2-3 changes.
Day 2 – Saturday, September 5th
This photo shoot is for 19+ years of age. Check-in at Iron Horse Park at 1 p.m. At 1:45 p.m. our caravan will leave for the Cody Park Train Display for a 2-4 p.m. photo shoot. From there we will travel to Snell Canyon for a 5-8 p.m. shoot. Clothing: casual to formal, 2-4 changes. Note: Snell Canyon is a public access area, nudity permitted away from the roadway in concealed areas only.
Day 3 – Sunday, September 6th
This photo shoot is for 19+ years of age. Check in at Iron Horse Park at 1 p.m. At 1:45 p.m. our caravan will move to the Lincoln County Historical Museum for a 2-5 p.m. photo shoot. From there, we will move to the Buffalo Bill State Park area to finish our day with a shoot 5-8 p.m. Clothing: period (19th and early 20th Century), cowgirl, casual, formal, 2-4 changes. Note: A Nebraska State Park sticker is required at Buffalo Bill State Park. A one day permit may be purchased at our local Wal-Mart in the Sporting Goods section for around $5.00.
Day 4 – Monday, September 7th , Labor Day
For those of you staying in North Platte, we will be having a picnic for all WNMP members and guests at 1 p.m. Memorial Park on East 4th Street (East US 30). Donations accepted.
